how to win a war

How to win a war?

By David Verveer

We first of all have to admit, wars are bad, and many innocent people die or suffer and lose everything they ever possessed. Everybody knows this and agrees to this, but her in Israel (all great believers in peace, the most popular word in our language) seem to get into wars every two to five years, not because we want something of our neighbors, besides living in peace, but we fight order to defend our citizens, a duty of any sovereign state in the world.

The second point is, if going to war, you have to be stronger than your enemy, and win the war or else you lose everything, as nations like ours have no alternative, we finally returned after 2000 years, and losing the war, which is what our opponents intent, means fleeing back to the original countries, from where we or our ancestors fled (after the holocaust), who are far from anxious to take us back.

But this is simplifying a very complex situation in "the modern media" fought skirmishes, in which clever propaganda masters use the internet and media, by picturing events in a false light, capable of manipulating heroic and humanistic behaviour into defeat, cruelty and homicide.

There is no doubt that the last action in Gaza of the Israeli army against a small group of Islamic terrorists (Hamas) was a military victory for Israel, in which it accomplished in hurting the Hamas, temporary reduce he missile bombardment of the south, and even slow down the re-arming efforts of smuggling through tunnels coming from the Egyptian Sinai dessert.

But which value has a military victory in our days, when our brave enemies have the World Press in their pocket, and every reporter, reporting from the Israeli border, received from their Palestinian counterparts, living in Gaza, reports showing Israel's cruelties, even though, in most cases proven incorrect by the Israeli videos, but who believes those blood thirsty Jews, a father with a dead child in his hand, is much better propaganda material, than a very sophisticated video film, taken by an unmanned Israeli airplane. The very few Palestinians who dared to tell the visiting Press (after the war) the truth about Hamas' behaviour and that of the Israelis, were / are treated extremely humane by the Hamas, after they reappeared from their safe hiding places (underneath the hospital), they shoot the Palestinians who talked in the legs, as they are enemies of the Islam, (see video by the French television).

This war shows again how the world reacts against anything Israel does, who really wants to know the truth. The world is talking about an unbalanced power struggle, with more than 1300 Palestinian death and only 13 Israelis, that is unfair, we should have given them a fair chance to kill some more Israelis, and so what, 8 years of bombing innocent Israelis can not be compared with the havoc created in the strip, with those modern planes, tanks and artillery. I see it as a kind of Anti-Semitism, as we did not see the same reactions when Russia dealt with Chechnya, or NATO in Bosnia, not to forget our allies, the USA in Afghanistan or Iraq.

But what could you care, seeing the war in Gaza is an entertaining event, just as the Obama's swearing in a few days later. The talkback fighters in the cyber press were able to give air to their intelligent and informed opinions, some bordering
Anti-Semitism, blaming Israel for everything which has gone wrong in the last 400 years (some even used arguments older than 2000 years), only a few took the Israeli side of the argument. Funny anough, most Dutch talkbacks in comparison with the Belgium's Flemish opinions were fair and more objective in their blame and accusations. I have no idea why the Flemish people are so against Jews and Israel, but that is irrelevant to my argument, which deals with the fact that even though we won the war, we lost it in the world opinion, which does not make a lot of difference, military wise, but might bring Israeli officers into war crime tribunals shows, put up by humanism loving countries.

For those who are sorry they missed some interesting episodes of the last Gaza campaign, don't worry, we will have soon new episodes of our next war with those nice quaint Arabs, as the war has been fought, won and lost, but the problem remained unchained, and the world is already poring in money to rearm them as soon as possible, so they get a fair chance to try again. What a wonderful world we are living in.

"Five years in jail? Waterboarding?"

some observations on the Gaza campaign

Some observations on the Gaza campaign

By David Verveer

I know that the subject of the Gaza war is boring, we are already busy with more interesting items such as the weight of Miss Paris Hilton and the sex life of Madonna, but still I have to remind you that there is a war going on, on a small strip of desert, south west of Israel, against a group of terrorists, who keep 1 and half million of Palestinians as hostages, in their attempt to legalize their actions of terrorizing Israel.

I will not go into the historical aspects of this fight, neither the right for any individual to live according his own convictions, even if this is according the Islamic Shariac laws. But what bothers me is the peculiar way; Israel's fight with Hamas is brought to the readers of the free world. Even though, the Hamas organization has been classified as an International terrorist organization, in the free press, the extreme left and extreme right, they (the terrorists) are pictured daily as poor underdogs, suffering from a type of Holocaust brought on them by those brute and cruel Israelis.

I know, we should apologize to the world, that Israel is a stronger military force than a few thousand armed criminals who keep the Palestinian population as hostage and use them as shields, trying to get the sympathy from the World press by creating scenes of suffering innocent bystanders. The reason Israel uses all his available might in destroying the Hamas is obvious, as we can not afford to lose the battle, which would be the end of Israel. But the world does not like a stronger force, irrelevant who it is opposing, it loves the underdog, and in this case, the suffering of the underdog (the Palestinian), are caused by actions of the Hamas, is blamed fully on the Israeli oppressor.

Those wise men of the United Nations Security Council decided a few days ago that fighting should be stopped, Israel told the council politely that it could not adhere to this clever decision, as it would not solve the problem, which requires to eliminate once and for all this dangerous cancer which threatens the entire free world, the Hamas did not reply to the Security council, but the press informed the world that the aggressor Israel refused to lay down their arms, don’t the journalists know the ancient expression of "it takes two to tango".

Than we have the item of Israel attacking UN schools, mosques and public buildings, killing numerous innocent Palestinians, nobody writes about the 5 Israeli schools and nurseries bombed only in the last two weeks, because that was no item, nobody got killed, because we don't use our public for political purposes, our innocent population of children, women and non military people (under fire for the last 8 years) are running for cover several times per day because incoming missiles, aimed at innocent people not the army. Why don't the Governments in our gracious world protest those brave attacks on the civilian population of Israel, are our lives of less value than those of the Palestinians?

But nobody in the West wants to know the truth, what really happened at those schools, who did what and why? Three facts of what occurred really in those murky town streets in the Gaza strip, as can be seen on recorded videos (filmed of course by those lying bastards of the Israeli Defense Forces, during the battle).
1 – "UNWRA School". The school has been closed since the war started; Palestinian refugees were temporary allocated on the school grounds, joined by a small band of terrorists, who fired from the school compound on he Israeli troops. The Israelis returned fire killing the terrorists and the Palestinians in the line of fire. The Hamas reported 50 killed (most children) but failed to provide a list of their names, nor shows the video published by the Hamas, more than 4 children, who were carried into the hospital (the same kids over and over again) without any clue if they were hurt or killed.

2 – "The school in Bet Hanoun". The troops advancing in this town found the school building empty, and camped there for the night, in the morning, a curious Israeli trouper noticed just on time that the school, including a small zoo of wild animals, had been booby trapped, (with more than a half ton of explosives'), warning his friends to run for safety, would they have succeeded in blowing up 150 Israeli soldiers, would it recorded by the press as another aggression by the Israelis against the children of Palestine, or would it have been recorded as one of the heroic actions by Hamas?

3 – The head quarters of Hamas (at least the Military wing) is underneath the major hospital of Gaza, knowing that the Israeli Air Force will never bomb the hospital. This is a known fact; however the Western Press fails to write about it.

The Hamas is using the phrase: "we are doing nothing, but those Israeli cowards are kicking back". But facts are not important, a Super jet bombing tunnels with modern penetrating bombs is not proper Journalistic material, a Palestinian bleeding on the floor sells much better.

I wonder why the same pictures in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq never reach the Press, could it be that we are Jews.

I know, nobody besides my friends reads my blog posts, and my complaint about objectivity is not an item to publish, as everybody knows that it is not politically correct to agree with Israel, specially now, with the economy crisis caused by Jews.

the action in gaza

The Action in Gaza

By David Verveer

I am not going to tell you about the bloody fight going on since yesterday in, about and around the Gaza Strip, a strip of land, housing more than 1.5million of Palestinians, and run by the terrorist organization of Hamas.

I won't explain why now, and why our Government did not have any other choice than a punitive action against the missile shooting terrorists, terrorizing the civilian Israeli citizens living in the border area on the side of this God forsaken center of International Islamic terror, as if you do not realize until now, of Israel's right to defend itself, please don't bother in reading his post, as I will be wasting your time, trying to convince you that even Jewish Israelis have the basic human right to live in peace.

Having said this, of course I realize that also our Palestinian neighbors have the same rights and should be respected by all sides, however, not we, the Israelis endanger their existence, the ones who endanger them are their masters, the Hamas, who use them as shields, sacrificing those poor people, in order to allow them to continue their terrorist crimes. And, irrelevant on which side your sympathies are, war is a dirty business, and innocent people suffer, nobody found yet to conduct wars without sacrifices.

But the real reason I am writing this post is my incomprehension of the talk-backs of world opinion reacting on the war. I understand that in Western societies the poor Palestinian underdogs get all the sympathies, specially if the clever Jews are on the other side, but surely, the stupidity and peculiar (rather racist) comments, blaming Israel for everything, and making the Hamas, holy soldiers, are shocking me more than I was prepared to admit. I am not talking about careful wording by World Governments, they have to stay neutral, objective and vague, especially with their own Muslim population, but I am talking about the main stream population, writing their comments on Internet after reading a news story about the fighting in Gaza.

How come, they don't comprehend the fact that for 8 years, the Hamas punks hurled missiles on the civilians living on the other side of the border? For 8 years children were terrorized by those criminals, and on the day before yesterday, they managed to fire more than 80 missiles in one day. How would you react if somebody was shooting at you, would you sit back, smile and present your other cheek?

I don't think so; you would require your Government to protect you with all the might they can produce. How can those humanistic writers of letters justify their stupidity, by blaming Israel of aggression? You must be blind and really mentally retarded in accusing Israel of any wrong doing, even though every one knows that any war is dirty, the way Israel tries to minimize hurting innocent bystanders, did they not hear our warnings that this could not continue, we had to take a strong action.

Than there are those who wrote about Israeli exaggeration, that we reacted too strong, that we put in too much power, which is of course bull shit, we are fighting not a fair game but a bloody war, and we need to punish those terrorists with all the strength we have, to make it as effective and short as possible. The days of talking are gone, now is the time for action, don't preach us, try to think what your Government would have done if this happened in your country. I apologize for sounding angry, as reading those civilized reactions, I am again happy that I live here, and not there.

bbc's democracy or stupidity?

BBC's democracy or stupidity?

By David Verveer

Late in the evening, last night, the BBC broadcasted the Doha Debates, with as guest Dr. Mahmoud Al Zahar, the foreign minister from the Hamas regime in Gaza.

The audience and participants, asking questions were mostly young Arabs from all over the region, including Palestinians, Jordanians, from the Gulf States, and a few non Arab Journalists.

The debate was chaired by BBC's Hard Talk Tim Sebastian, who tried to be objective and impartial, however, without any success because the guest speaker, Al Zahar did not answer questions, but retorted again and again, that the culprits were the Americans and the Israelis, and that the terror actions of Hamas were legitimate actions of people fighting for freedom.

When Sebastian asked him why he does not answer the questions from the audience, Al Zahar answered that that was his trademark. And indeed, with this he represents fully the Palestinian argument, which does not try to persuade the West of their cause, but with phraseologies, shouts down any opposition from the inside and outside.

When asked, why the Hamas kills also fellow Palestinians, he again evaded the question and claimed that the Americans kill thousands of Iraqis' and the West keeps silent about it. Asked if killing innocent Israeli women and children with terror attacks doesn't bother him as medical physician, he retorted that 3000 Palestinians were killed since the last Intifada.

The disturbing part in watching this debate, was the fact that the audience applauded every time Al Zahar said something provocative against the West and Israel, and smiled when he proclaimed statements which would have landed him in prison as terrorist and racist, if stated this in the UK or for that matter, anywhere in the West, but the democracy in Doha is much more advanced that Europe, there you can say anything unpunished, and broadcast it into the free and patient world.

When asked why they are fighting Israel, he told the audience that the town of Maalei Adomim was built on Palestinian soil and 30 km away from Jerusalem, following the sentence with the demand that the Israelis settlers should abandon all settlements outside the borders of 1967 war, after that, they "the Hamas" is prepared to consider peace talks. The fact that 2.5 years ago Israel returned the entire Gaza strip to the Palestinians, without getting anything in return, but instead received a continues barrage of rockets on the towns and kibbutzim on the Israeli side.

This broadcast explained clearly to the Israeli, that with the current Hamas regime in Gaza, there is no possibility for peace, and only severe punitive actions, killing (yes I mean killing) the Hamas leadership and followers, which includes unfortunately also innocent people, can return the moderate Palestinians to save the Middle East from turmoil, as Hamas radicalism is a danger for the entire region, and even might endanger the democracies of the West, who are already losing ground in their fight against the Islam.

Our problem is that our philosophy (Judeo-Christian) is not coping with the Islamic belief of spreading the religion by sword, sacrificing your life, will provide you with non-stop orgies in afterlife, primitive but extremely effective by the ignorant masses.

Al Zahar claimed that "eye for eye" revenge is the only Muslim way of life possible.

One word about democracy, and the BBC broadcast of these debates. Are we certain that with allowing this type of racist propaganda, we somehow serve the case of peace, or do we in actual fact help the extremists to spread their garbage?

The time for gentlemen British defending the underdog (poor weak Islamite) has passed away, long before 19/11.

the unbeatable israeli euphoria

The un-beatable Israeli Euphoria

By David Verveer

Israel celebrated last week its 60th birthday, with lots of glamor, important visiting statesmen and celebrities with expensive display of our prosperity and achievements which were gained notwithstanding our precarious situation on our temporary borders with our everlasting enemy, the Islamic (Arabic) tribes (dictatorial nations) surrounding us.

Our Government tells us, "be happy" enjoy the current situation, nobody knows what the future will bring to our embattled nation, but up to date, we are doing fine, with verbal encouragement of those world leaders (some of them, already out of power and some with only an half year left) that their nations are behind us the whole way. And indeed, this is progress, as in the past, even verbally we did not get any backing, and our right to exist was questioned repeatedly at the United Nations and Zionism was compared with racism.

But a few days back, the President of the USA told us that "Masada won't fall again".

What does that mean? For people who do not remember the Masada tale, a short explanation. During the Roman / Jewish wars, Masada is the name for a site of ancient palaces and fortifications in the Negev Desert on top of an isolated rock plateau on the eastern edge of the Judea overlooking the Dead Sea. Masada became famous after the first Roman War (also known as the Great Jewish Revolt) when a siege of the fortress by troops of the Roman Empire may have led to a mass suicide of the site's Jewish zealots when defeat became imminent. Since the sole source of information is Josephus, whose historical accuracy is suspect; this popular conception of mass suicide may not have occurred. But historical truth does not exist, all history we know is based on journalists such as Josephus, who in their own political interpretation, create history, without any evidence on truth and facts. Today this is even more evident, as by example, our Arab neighbors such as Hamas and Hezbollah write history with the help of media such Arab television stations, reporting on cruelties and massacres by Israelis, which never took place in reality.

But going back to Bush's promise on Masada, does it mean that the USA will defend a handful of extremists when threatened (for example Mormon sects in the states) or is his support in the genre of backing up the Vietnamese and Koreans in their war with the communists? His sentence of 7 millions backed by 300 million of Americans is dramatic, but in reality "bullshit". The only force we Israelis can rely upon is the IDF, and with this we have to fight not only the Islam nations but also the financial interests of the rest of the world. We have to remember that the only countries which really love us are the Pacific Ocean Island nations, for reasons unknown.

But the festivities continue, the meeting of Presidents (including the presidents from Mongolia, Cape Verde and Albania) was impressive, pity that an Russian made Grad missile provided by Iran and launched by the Hamas in Gaza, fell at the same time on a mall in Ashkelon, wounding more than 100 people, mostly children and women, who did their shopping, etc, at the time. Of course, we realize that those victims were all ex or future soldiers involved in fighting the poor innocent Arabs and it is their moral right in defending the Koran by killing those bloody Jews.

But don't worry, we don't need Arabs to make our life hell, we are self sufficient in that. Our distinguished Prime minister, a person whose actions and lifestyle are puritan, and an inspiration to our youth, made the stupid mistake (mostly, because he tried to spin the attention on his accused but not yet proven crimes) meddled too much with peace efforts, promising independence to the Palestinians and even moving Jewish settlers , thus infuriation the Israeli right wing politicians, who engaged an American religious mini-bar millionaire to tell the world, that he personally has provided cash money to Olmert, during his election campaigns.

This crime, which is the only tool available to campaign all over the world, can be seen as a bribe, even though, I can not see how the Mini-bar chief could benefit from this, it is clear that Olmert has to go immediately, and to make place for mister clean (Netanyahu), who even in the second Lebanese War spend bribe money when lecturing the British on the Jewish plight in their fight against the Hezbollah.

But our feast continues non stop, a certain self made millionaire who has made himself a fortune in transfer of funds for an African nation, bought a political party of 3 old doodlers (ex pensioners), and is now represented in the Knesset. This is a perfect example of our nation, when a crook (which is under investigation by the Interpol and Israeli police) invests in politics and is not be accused of bribing when he buys a political party, making it unclear what a bribe is and what not. Might it be, that the definition of bribe relates to right or left, revisionism, capitalism or bribing the wrong party, is it me or really, we have to stop with celebrating? .

the nd of the western civilization

The end of the Western civilization

By David Verveer

It is amazing, they are playing us, and every step we make, we assist them to win another round in the World Opinion, not only us, but also the Americans, the Europeans or anybody else who dares to oppose the mighty Islam forces.

The Hamas persists on sending daily rockets and other missiles on innocent Israeli civilians, shooting from sites in the middle of local population in the densest populated area of the World, and when finally the Israeli Army goes to punish and destroy the missile sites, the Hamas make sure that a friendly Press films the poor victims, and if there are insufficient number of victims, why not stage a pitiful child death caused by barbaric Israeli soldiers. But also old pictures, unrelated to current situation that are mixed in, who knows when they see a terrible scene or corpse, if it is really a Palestinian child or Iraqi, and who really cares?

The punitive action taken by the Israeli Army was in actual fact a complete waste of time and gave the enemy tools to emphasize how those horrible Jews kill innocent poor Arabs, and after killing more than 100 terrorists, the army retreats back into Israel, bringing the next stage of the show, by publicly announcing a victory of Hamas, with festivities and propaganda films, this all together without stopping firing rockets on South Israeli towns.

I wonder again and again, which other country could tolerate missile attacks from a neighboring nation, and at the same time provide that same nation with food, electricity and medical care.

The Gaza strip with nearly two million citizens, of which more than two third are unemployed and fed on the cost of the UN, are armed and trained by the Iranians, and backed by the major Islamic terrorist organizations. It has no way in becoming an independent nation, as it can not provide any means of supporting its people, it's Government is a terrorist organization, which kicked out and killed their Fatah brothers (who are far from being saints), and the only way they keep their power financed through generous donations of the Muslim World is a continuation of pestering and terrorizing Israel.

But the happenings in Western Europe with a growing Muslim minority is also a propaganda war, daily fought and mostly won by the Muslims, through terrorism, threads and riots. When the Press does not play according the Muslim wishes, they stage riots or terrorize, and nothing can be done against it, as democratic environment can not win against the Quran, as the first is governed by common sense and humanistic thoughts, while the Islam rules by intimidation and threads. The Muslim does not believe that life should be enjoyed, that everybody has rights to live, that women are equal and people thinking different, too have the right to exist We do not understand them and continue to play fair, but if we do not get very fast somebody with some common sense and leadership to stop it, we, and you (anywhere), are losing this war.

10 years ago, the power of the Arabs was still based on oil money; today it is based on pure terrorism, which is by far more dangerous.
